My mom called earlier this morning to say she had spoken with my brother. He was ready to board a plane in Kuwait, anticipating an 18 hour flight from there to Atlanta. Once in Atlanta, he will have a 10 hour layover & be in Nashville tomorrow afternoon around 4:30. WHOOOHOOO! While he is home for a few weeks, we are going to meet he, mom, & dad on Sat. halfway at Natchez Trace State Park & have a birthday party for both kiddos and just hang out for the day. The kids are so excited - all they can say is "Mattman!"
Today ends the 5th day of 3rd grade. Skyler got an amazing teacher this year & we "clicked" with her right off the bat. She shared her testimony with us up front that she is a Christian, so that made us feel a lot better about Skyler being in her classroom. Last year was so tough with her teacher going out for maternity leave 1/2 through the year and having 3 different sub's over that course of time. I hope we don't ever have to deal with that again!
Grady's getting started on potty training. We bought him some cute little cotton training underwear with footballs, baseballs, etc. on them. He looked so cute running around the house in them. He realized he needed to potty, and looked at me & said "Mommy, potty!" but by the time we got in there, he had already gone in his new undies. He'll get there........eventually!!! LOL!
Well, now that school has started, maybe things will slow down a little bit for our household!
Until next time...
