Abby Cate was 6 months on Monday - half a year - where is time going?! She is growing so quickly! She is reaching the age where she is interacting more & has become such a little ham! We recently started baby foods, she is rolling over both ways, sitting up, "talking" up a storm, and gathering quite a character for herself! Her 0-3 months clothes are getting a little snug in the diaper area and she is mainly wearing 3-6 months. It is amazing to look at this picture of her laying next to one of her first preemie outfits. God is so good!!
Food, food, food - she eats "real" food twice a day & occasionally will have some oatmeal at night - depending on how hungry she acts in the evening! I made a big batch of carrots/apples & also some sweet potatoes, so that is what she is started on right now. She loves all of them & eats with passion! We are going to try some squash later this week & possibly some peas.
Skyler & Chris went to Camp Hosanna in Hiawassee, GA last week with 7 other campers. Grady, Abby Cate, & I didn't get to go with them this year, but we were able to visit with some friends the latter part of the week. We all had fun, but were glad to be back together as a family at the end of the week.
VBS is in a few weeks - this years theme is "Sole Survivors on Danger Island." We are gearing up for that!
After VBS is VACATION! We are so excited - this is the first year EVER that we will go on a family vacation & we will not go visit family! We watch our friends go on cruises or go to the beach or away to the mountains & we say "we're gonna do that one of these days!" Well, "one of these days" is finally here! Granted, we are not going on a cruise or to the beach, but we are going to Huntsville, AL.....whatever we do, it'll be fun to be away for a few days as a family of 5!
