The car was picked up by the body shop this morning & we are waiting to see what the damages are. Thank the Lord for insurance!!!
I am so thankful that the Lord protected me during this accident. I was completely blindsided - the deer came from the median & I never saw it until it was too late. I was on a highway, so my cruise control was set - I never slammed on my brakes & I did not swerve into the next lane to try and miss the deer. Those are both blessings as there were several cars in the lane next to me & several following in the lane behind me. I was able to slowly get to the side of the road and call Chris for help. I am sore & my lower back/hips are giving me a fit, but I am fine. It could've been much much worse!
I was really looking forward to a laid back restful weekend. In addition to Friday night's activities, Chris, Skyler, & Grady all three wound up with this horrid stomach virus on Saturday. The preacher was so sick he had to stay home from church on Sunday - the church folk appreciated him not wanting to share his germs. They are all recovering and seem to be feeling much better!
Here's to Monday.....and a fresh start!!
