Tomorrow is the last day of school for our area! We did it - we survived 2nd grade!! Skyler finished strongly - barely missing honor roll! Given the many twists and bends this year, we are very proud of how hard she worked.
We are so excited & so ready for the weekend to hurry up and get here! Friday night, we will be attending graduation for 2 of our high school seniors and then heading out of town to my parents for the weekend. Sunday afternoon, my 4 best high school friends and their husbands/children will be coming out to my mom's house for a reunion cookout. One of the girls is leaving for Hong Kong next month. She & her husband will be teaching over there!
This summer will be a very busy summer. June 5-7, we have our annual Joy of Living teen conference in Atoka, TN. On June 9, we leave for LA with a group of junior kids for the first week of church camp - this is Skyler's first year as a camper!! Chris leaves again on June 23 with a group of teens - the kids & I will stay behind for this week. July is busy with preparation for our Vacation Bible School starting on the 21st. Our VBS wraps up Friday the 25th, & we leave early the morning of the 26th headed to Wilson, KS for another week of VBS. This is our missions trip for the year. We're back home on Aug 2 & Skyler starts 3rd grade on Aug 7!!! Summer break won't last long for her! We are also planning a trip to Nashville to see my brother when he comes in for a break from Iraq mid-Aug & a trip to Pensacola to "deliver" a college student for fall semester on labor day weekend!
