I am doing a happy dance! I am so glad Friday is here! Even though we have a busy weekend, I am looking forward to not having to get up early and come to work tomorrow morning.
Chris comes home tomorrow - I am so excited! Even though my inlaws have been here helping out this week, I am exhausted. I have been running every day & night preparing for building dedication Sunday & our pastor/wife's 40th anniversary party tonight.
Quick run-down of my week so far:
Monday, after work, went straight to the church & helped move all of the kitchen from the old building to the new activities center. Got home late, crashed around 11:30.
Tuesday - more running after work, picking up items needed for the new building - garbage cans, door stops, toilet brushes, etc...home late, crashing very late again.
Wednesday - prayer service after work. After service, helped move all the tables/chairs along with projector, dvd player, sound equipment to the new bldg. Discovered a "flood" in the new prophet's chamber & ladies restroom. Contractor found the problem - men cleaned up water. Got home late again, but thought I would be in the bed before 10:00; however, my little cute son didn't want to go to sleep. Finally got him down close to midnight only to have him wake me up at 2:00 a.m. Gave up & brought him to my bed. At 4:00, my new puppy woke me up to go outside. Took him out & crawled back in bed to be awakened at 6:00 a.m. for work.
Thursday - had to go back to the church, have someone help me make sure the dvd for tonight was set up properly and in the right place. Contemplated mopping the new gym floor, but was persuaded not to since it was already almost 8:30 at that point. Went by CVS because Grady is now running fever (2 little white teeth cutting through the surface on bottom) & I am out of ibuprofen. Was able to pick up a few deals and then headed home. My son, once again, didn't want to go to bed, so at 10:30, I said "Not doing this again tonight!" & brought him to my bed where we slept until 6:30 this morning!!
So, you see why I will be happy to have my dear sweet hubby home with me again?!
Update on my mom
As of last night when I spoke to dad, they had come in to try and sit her up & it was "quite an ordeal" in his words. Her best friend, who is also a nurse, was there & was able to help her through it. She has been in quite a bit of pain, but dad said she is doing great other than that. We are waiting for her bowels to "awaken" - that will be the biggest thing in allowing her to go home. Thanks for your prayers!
I'm off to finish my week! Enjoy the weekend!
