What a change in events...

So, after 6 long weeks of waiting, the genetic counselor called with the results of our amnio test.

Abigail Cate does not have the genetic markers for achondroplasia dwarfism. As a matter of fact, the testing that they have done is not showing anything is wrong with her at all. The counselor said he cannot explain it- he said based on the ultrasounds, they were very certain that this test would come back positive.

We do understand that based on our ultrasound yesterday, she is still measuring behind in growth for her gestational age, & we have been recommended to have some further genetic testing after she is born just to rule out anything on a smaller scale that may be wrong, but she is still completely healthy and she is growing! Looks like we may just have a small little girl!
