Abby Cate was born on December 28 weighing 4 lbs. 6 oz. and 18" long via emergency c-section. She did have an 11 day stay in the NICU for blood sugar issues (due to being so small), but never had any breathing tubes or feeding tubes. Now that she has gained weight, her sugar issues appear to be gone.
She was examined by a geneticist as well as tests run the day after she was born & it was determined that other than being small, there is nothing wrong with her that could be found! Just watch - she'll likely end up being bigger than both of my other two kiddos as she grows!!
She is changing so much & I've just wanted to soak it all in the past 3 months. She laughs, grins, and coos at us all the time & is developing her own little personality! When she cries, I can tell you if she's hungry, tired, or just plain rotten!
I promise I will return with pictures and a complete write-up on her birth story and hospital stay! For now, here is the smile that can light up a room!
