Changes....

So many changes since my last blog in February.....

but the biggest change will be on November 30. I will officially be a stay-home mommy! I am so excited. I have not had this opportunity in 9 years, so to say we are all a little excited is a slight understatement!

Grady & Abby Cate will only be in daycare through Thanksgiving week, so they only have 3.5 weeks left until they get mommy all to themselves during the day!

Skyler is also excited because mommy will be home just in time for her 2 week Christmas break & she has already started planning all of the cool things we are going to get to do then as well as her next summer break!

We can't really explain other than we have been praying that the Lord would make a way if He wanted this to happen, and throughout this year, small things have happened to aid in this dream becoming a reality for us. The Lord has been asking us to make small baby steps of faith along the way this year leading up to this major step of faith! We are so blessed!

One of our other major changes is that Chris & I decided that this year was the year we were going to get serious about our health and weight loss. I started a program with the hospital where I work back in March and was able to drop 13 lbs. during the 12 week program. All I did was cut my calories way back - after the program ended, I was able to drop another 7 lbs. bringing my total weight loss to 20 lbs. in July. End of July, Chris decided he wanted to join me & we began working at it together. We joined a gym and began tracking every single calorie that went into our bodies. Together we have lost over 75 lbs. My total weight loss is around 42 and I have dropped from sizes XL & 16W to sizes S/M & 12. I have not seen this weight or size in around 6-7 years, and Chris has not been down this low since well before we were married. We both still have roughly 20 lbs. each still left to be at our first major goal. After that, we will both be working on toning and maintaining.

We are coming around to celebrating our 3rd year here in Corinth with our church family! What a blessing they are to us and we love them all so much! We lost one of our faithful families in August due to a move to South Carolina. We miss them so much, but we know that God will use them where He has planted them.

I'm hoping that once I am home full time, I will be able to make a successful attempt at blogging! Stay tuned....:)
